Where is the venue?

While the Shinola Hotel is the location we selected, their address will take you to Woodward Avenue. The Shinola Hotel’s event space is located at 1435 Farmer Street.

Where do I park?

There is complementary valet parking available at the venue, located at 1435 Farmer Street.

What should I wear?

This is a formal event - we suggest guests wear a suit of any color, a cocktail dress, or nice jumpsuit

Is the venue indoors?

Yes, while the venue is entirely indoors, there is a small terrace where guests will be able to step out for fresh air. Smoking is not permitted on the terrace, however it is permitted outside the venue.

Are kids or guests welcome?

While we would love to see everyone, due to space restrictions we cannot accommodate all of your lovely children or any additional guests beyond those listed on your invitation.

Will there be meal options for guest with dietary restrictions?

Yes, while we are serving family style, we will have options that are vegan, gluten free, and nut free for our guests with dietary restrictions. If you have any dietary restrictions, please let us know on your RSVP.

What time should I arrive?

The doors will open at 5pm with light beverages available before the ceremony. The ceremony will start promptly at 5:30, so please arrive accordingly.

I’m visiting from out of town, what is there for me to do?

Well first off, we can’t wait to host you in Detroit! Please join us for Welcome Drinks at 8pm on Friday, April 25 at The Brakeman.
